Kansas Wine Country offers something for everyone...
The Wine Trail is composed of four farm wineries just 20 minutes south of Johnson County and open mostly year-round. Each winery brings a signature style to their artisan wines from grapes specially selected for our region. Each Winery is about a 10 minute drive from the other so make a day of it and visit one or all of the wineries in Miami County Kansas!
Louisburg cider mill
A renovated, classic, old hay barn and its attendant 80 acres is where the mill makes it's famous cider, root beer soda, apple butters and a variety of delicious products. Visit to see demonstrations, sample product and listen to music in a family-friendly setting. Check their calendar to learn about details on the pumpkin patch, corn maze and cider fest and other events.
cedar cove feline (big cat) sanctuary
Cedar Cove is a non-profit organization devoted to the care and preservation of endangered large cats while educating the public on their behavior, physiology, habitats and the threats & dangers of extinction. Our goal is to ensure that all the felines are in a stress-free, non-exploited environment. Check website for hours of operation & tours.
MIAMI COUNTY TROLLEY
The Miami County Trolley will pick you up at any designated place along our route and take you on a tour to a variety of the wineries and other local attractions upon request. We will provide transportation at the end of the tour to and from the local restaurants for those guests with overnight reservations.
NETHRFIELD NATURAL FARM - BED AND BREAKFAST
The Vance family moved from Illinois to Kansas in 1865 to homestead this property. They worked the land and built this bed and breakfast in 1882 and named it Netherfield, after one of the main locations in Jane Austin’s Pride and Prejudice.
Hoot Owl Hill
Imagine driving through a vineyard of concord grapes and butterfly gardens to arrive at your campsite overlooking a lovely river valley and rolling hills. Historical Jackson Hotel
The Jackson Hotel is a historic hotel building located at 139 W. Peoria St. in Paola, Kansas. The hotel was built in 1921, and have been one of three hotels at this site. Come in for coffee and cafe style food or host an event of your own! The Jackson hotel is a perfect stop when you are on your ventures of downtown Paola.
